Booklet Brochure

After a complete website redesign, this large Methodist church was looking for a new brochure to use in outreach efforts. At the time, they were plagued with an overabundance of promotional pieces, which made it difficult to get a view of their programs and a sense of the church itself. I decided to create a church-wide booklet style brochure with a strong focus on visuals. This church’s effort to take high quality photos at every event allowed me to bypass stock photography for photos of actual members, which gave this piece a more authentic feel.
The photo at right is from this church's Ash Wednesday service. I decided to use this picture because this service is not only visually striking, it is also one of this church's most popular and members are deeply connected to it.
The photo at right is of this church's historic sanctuary. I shot multiple photos and combined them into a custom HDR image to help highlight this space’s amazing architecture and lighting.
Though this church was established over 130 years ago, they did not want to focus exclusively on their past. To visually convey the church's history I pulled the photo at left (ca. 1900) from the church's archives. This allowed current programs to take the spotlight, while still showing the church’s historic nature.
The design of the shirt at right can be seen here.
